About Beach Atlas Global
Beach Atlas Global puts the open data that exists about the world’s beaches into one readable page per beach: sea temperature through the year, weather, mapped facilities, transport, photos and how it compares with nearby beaches.
Who runs it
Beach Atlas Global is an independent publication. The editorial team is responsible for the data rules, the publishing thresholds and the weekly page reviews described in the editorial policy.

What we cover
The atlas currently shows 600 beaches in 41 countries, compiled on 2026-10-13. The first beaches were chosen by how often people search for them; further beaches come from Wikidata and are published only when enough data exists.
What we are not
We are not a booking site and we do not write reviews. Numbers are long-term averages, not live conditions or forecasts. For safety information on the day, follow local lifeguards and signage.
How the site is funded
The site may show advertising. Advertisers have no influence on the data, the rankings or which beaches are published.
