This page explains what personal data Beach Atlas Global processes and why.

Browsing

The site has no user accounts. Our web server records standard request logs (IP address, time, requested page, browser type) for security and to keep the service running; logs are deleted after a short period.

Contact form

When you send a message we store the name, e-mail address and text you enter so that we can answer. For spam protection we keep a one-way hash of your IP address, not the address itself. Messages are deleted when they are no longer needed.

Cookies, analytics and advertising

Analytics and advertising cookies are only set after you agree in the cookie banner, where your region requires consent. You can change your choice at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer. Details are on the cookie policy page.

Third-party content

Maps load tiles from OpenStreetMap servers and photos may load from Wikimedia servers; these services receive your IP address as part of the request, under their own privacy policies.
