Von der SP 358, die kleine Bucht wäre bei Badewetter eine Pause wert. Zum Aufnahmezeitpunkt ist es jedoch unangenehm windig.

When to go

The beach-day index peaks in July–August; July scores 9.5/10 with highs of 26 °C, sea at 24.6 °C and 21 mm of rain.

That matches the median for beaches in Italy in the same month.

Across the year the sea averages 18.8 °C, warmer than 51% of the coastal beaches in the atlas.

November is the wettest month (125 mm) and July the driest (21 mm); the yearly total is about 890 mm.

Daylight runs from 9.4 hours in December to 15.0 hours in June; in mid-July the sun rises at 05:28 and sets at 20:14 local time.

Orientation, sun and shore

JunDecNESW

The shore faces east-south-east (115°). Open water fills about 28% of the horizon close by, which makes it an open stretch of shore.

At no time of year does the sun set over the sea here: sunset bearings run from 240° to 302°, behind the land.

Sunrise is over the sea in August–April.

The opposite shore is only about 500 m away to the east-south-east, which keeps the water sheltered from big waves.

About 1 km offshore the sea is roughly 50 m deep and 80 m at 3 km, so deep water starts close to shore. Behind the beach the ground is about 34 m above sea level 500 m inland and 66 m at 1.5 km.

Within 1 km, the land is 66% grassland, 21% cropland and 10% tree cover (satellite land-cover map, 2021): a largely natural setting. Water makes up 22% of that circle.
